[history.] using slight AU and personally concocted information due to a lack of information about the character, as well as a personal interpretation of the character's end of game fate. contains spoilers for the general plot of Suikoden II. also forgive any rambling or ask me to fix inconsistencies, I'm working from memory and very vague walk-throughs.

Seed was born a peasant in Highland, raised in a fairly small farming village. When he was old enough, he enlisted in the army and dedicated himself to working his way through the ranks. He met a higher ranking officer (at the time) by the name of Culgan, and even though they had quite a few disagreements in the beginning, due to their differences in background, perception, and the way they dealt with the world, the pair found that they complimented one another rather well and became nearly inseparable. The two served together under general Solon Jhee in Highland's 2nd army.

After Luca Blight executed Solon Jhee due to Jhee's carelessness in leaving his flanks unguarded on assumption that the rebels led by Riou would not exploit the weakness, Seed was promoted to vice-general while Culgan was made Jhee's replacement. Later on, when Kiba Windmeier and his son Klaus defected to Riou's army, Seed was made a general in his own right, leading the 3rd company of Highland's army.

When Jowy Atreides defected back to Highland, after the assassination of Annabelle, Culgan and Seed were among the first to support the youth. After Jowy had a confrontation with Riou and his sister Nanami, Jowy allowed them to flee and was himself confronted by Rowd, the former captain of the Unicorn Brigade. Rowd questioned Jowy, and the boy lied about having heard anything or seen anything fleeing in the night. Culgan and Seed appeared and backed the younger man, and Rowd was forced to leave since Jowy had his alibi supported by two powerful senior officers. It was shortly after Rowd's departure that Seed threw in his lot with Jowy, alongside his best friend.

Seed was a loyal supporter to Jowy Atreides (later Blight, due to marriage to Luca's younger sister Jillia), even if it was at first in secret while Luca Blight still raged upon the land. He led his army and fought his hardest to try and achieve his King's dream of a land brought to peace from one final war, having a hope of securing "a land that he could live on" as opposed to the ruin usually left by war. However, peace would not be easy to find through bloodshed, and the war raged bitterly between former friends, the people caught in between ideals and practices fighting loyally for the respective boy they pledged their allegiances to. When Highland was finally invaded by Riou's army, Seed prepared himself for a last stand, positioning himself inbetween his king and their opponent as one of the last resistances. He and Culgan were the only ones that stood between Riou and their Liege's last ditch effort to salvage his plan, and when the inevitable came, the two fought tooth and nail to destroy their opponents. If Highland fell, after all, what would they have to lose?

Unfortunately, their last ditch effort was for naught. Seed and Culgan were defeated, and Riou and his party moved on to confront the True Beast Rune. As he lay there dying, Seed spoke quietly to his friend, trying to stave off the weakness that crept through his body and urged him into the sleep that his heavy eyelids beckoned for. The pair were granted a final reprieve, perhaps a blessing for their ability to recognize who was the lesser of two evils and whose intentions were pure at heart, if a little skewed in the method. Soldiers from Seed and Culgan's former companies came across their generals. The soldiers healed the pair enough to keep them alive, and helped drag the men out of L'Renouille castle as the battle between Riou's party and the True Beast Rune shook the castle to its' very core.

Seed lived after the battle, though he was out of commission for a very long time. He returned to the village of his birth, and he dragged Culgan with him, the two retiring to Seed's hometown. When he was well enough, he helped rebuild his town, and even managed to get Culgan to get his hands dirty with a bit of manual labor. They refined their swordsmanship skills with one another, practicing in between working and collecting books for the 'old man's' (Seed's nickname for Culgan) personal endeavor of a library. Seed found the runes that he had lost when his body could no longer stably support the magical stone and had them re-equipped (war or no war, there were always feral monsters outside of the village, and he wasn't taking any chances.)

[personality.] ~~Seed is a loyal asshat~~ Seed is a very hot-headed individual, who would happily prescribe to the 'kick ass first, ask questions later' way of thinking. He is intelligent, although it would be more of a street-smart type of wisdom as opposed to being book-learned. Seed is very loyal to the person he believes is right, as opposed to being blindly loyal to a corrupt figurehead (evidenced by his allegiance to Jowy Atreides as opposed to Luca Blight when the prince went insane.) Seed is brash and impulsive, and speaks his mind freely when imminent death isn't the main consequence as it was with Luca Blight. Seed is also fiercely protective of his friends and chosen master, and would fight to the death for them.

[abilities.] Seed is an excellent swordsman (his sword is named Serafine, after his mother.). He worked his way up the ranks of Highland's army, eventually becoming a captain under Solon Jhee. He was later promoted to general of the 3rd army due to the former general's defection. Seed is also skilled with the use of rune magic, and is equipped with a Flowing rune and a Rage rune.

[Rage rune's magic]-
Fire Wall - 150dmg vs. 1 enemy row. (5 uses, mild attack power)
Dancing Flames - 300dmg vs. all enemies. (3 uses, moderate attack power)
Explosion - 700dmg vs. all enemies. (3 uses, moderate-to-high attack power)
Final Flame - 900 dmg vs. all enemies. (1 use, can only use once per day, high attack power)

[Flowing rune's magic]-
Protect Mist - repel +20% for all allies for 3 rounds. (5 uses, mild defense power raise)
Kindness Rain - heals 300hp for all allies. (3 uses, moderate restorative power)
Silent Lake - no magic use for 3 turns. (3 uses, lasts three appearances in the posting order )
Mother Ocean - heal all hp for 1 ally; heals unconscious.(1 use, can only use once per day)

Using Final Flame and Mother Ocean in the same battle would exhaust Seed to the point of unconsciousness, and multiple uses of both runes would make him extremely tired (especially if he exhausted both runes and their casting abilities.)
